Trekking on Mules in The Atlas Day Trip
The mule is hybrid animal,it is a cross of a horse and a donkey. It is the practical animal used for riding in the Atlas mountains. It’s still used a lot for a different purposes, it’s a very good adventure to go for Trekking on Mules for both if adults or children.
You meet the mules and muleteers in Ouirgane valley, South of Marrakech, then ride mules and go for a trek through the mule paths in the heart of the the national park of Toubkal.
Exploring the wild life here on the back of a mule is a fantastic idea. It helps to get higher and more views. After 2 hours of riding we get to the village of Anraz, where you could have a traditional Berber meal served by a local Berber family that has lived on the foothill of the mountain for generations. Visit the village then heading down through the gardens for one more hour riding from the village to catch the Ouirgane lack where the trio on mules ended.
